By estimate, it is about 510 Kilometers by road form Kampala – Uganda’s capital and Moroto is apparently the largest town in the sub region.

Itinerary

  • You will set from Kampala early in the morning at around 8:00 am and drive for about eight hours to Kitgum where you will stay for an overnight.
  • Early in the morning after breakfast, you will continue with your journey to kidepo.
  • You will drive for about 5hours.
  • You will check in to your lodge and have lunch, you will then go to visit the Lorokul cultural group and explore the fascinating, ancient culture of the karamajong.
  • Visit traditional homesteads, sample local dishes and hear stories of the folklore of this remote tribe.
  • Later you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
  • After morning breakfast you will go for a morning game drive to the hot springs where you will spot the big five moving around, tortoises and the majestic ostriches.
  • This section also commands a beautiful scenery with savannah grasslands and the mountains from across south Sudan boarder from a distance.
  • You will then return to your lodge or lunch.
  • Later in the evening you can decide to go back to the park for a guided walk to see animals at a close view.
  • Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
  • After an early morning breakfast, check out and fly or drive back to Kampala.
